Class

A collection of objects, not necessary a set. The distinction generally is that certain operations on sets are not allowed so as to allow us to refer to a (usually large) collection of objects without causing contradictions such as Russell’s paradox.

Cis

A commonly defined function in the study of complex numbers. cis(θ)=cos(θ)+isin(θ) Incidentally, cis(θ)=exp(iθ). As such, cis is seldom used apart from a particular stage of learning in school as most favour the use of the simpler exp(iθ).
